The Board for Actuarial Standards was established in April 2006 The information set out in this section documents BAS's current objectives, membership and procedures.

BAS contributes to the achievement of the Financial Reporting Council's fundamental aim of supporting investor, market and public confidence in the financial and governance stewardship of listed and other entities by pursuing its aim of setting high quality actuarial standards.
